Nick has always been very much into sports. He signed a contract with Hull Kingston Rovers in 2012 but later left due to wanting to pursue a career in business studies. This led him to Join Leeds Beckett University where then took up playing rugby as a hobby. During his time at Leeds he became interested in body building which led him into becoming a PHD ambassador. His work with PHD has taken him all over the world including Kuwait and Dubai. With his long sorting history Nick understands the fundamentals of what is required for a healthy balanced diet. Nick is a big foodie so from the moment he tasted Clean Kitchens Beef Stroganoff he was hooked.
Matty is a huge gym goer and on the run up to competitions he often visits up to 6 times a week for up to 3 hours per session. In Matty's first competition he scooped first place for the Yorkshire heat of UKUP 2016. He then went on to take 5th place in Britain. At the height of his training he eats 5 meals per day plus protein shakes.
Laura would be described as petite and she always has been. Healthy eating and living plays a huge part in her life. She could live by the slogan 'you are what you eat'. Although Laura has never struggled with her weight she does suffer when eating the wrongs foods. Eating Clean Kitchen meals takes that worry out of eating leaving her more time to hit the gym or go for a jog. Exercise and healthy eating are more of a hobby for Laura. Something she enjoys doing and feels all the better for it.
Ryan started out as a keen rugby player but following an injury he subsequently found himself in rehab focusing on strength and conditioning. It is during his rehab that he found his love for weight lifting. First becoming a personal trainer in 2011, it wasn't until 2016 that he entered a UKBFF regional which led to an invitation to the British finals. Finishing up in 6th place this meant he qualified to compete at an international level landing him 5th place. Ryan continues to push himself to new levels whilst also helping others to achieve their goals through his personal training.
Austin has been a professional rugby league player for the last 13 years. He started out playing for Leeds Rhinos before moving on to the London Broncos, he then captained the Dewsbury Rams and most recently plays for York City Knights. His career has taken him across the world including Dubai, France Spain Portugal and Germany. Austin is a big boxing fan and has even won a few matches. He is a fully trained fitness instructor and personal trainer. Health, fitness and nutrition are a massive part of his life. If he doesn’t get all 3 aspects completely right then his everyday life becomes very difficult.
Karen has been in the beauty and skin care industry for 5 years. She understands that good skin is not just about topical products you put on the outside, it’s also about nutrition. Healthy food shows in the skin as well as in the body. Karen has been into fitness for around 8 years now and not only does she do yoga and weight lifting she also finds the time as a bust mum to fit in crossfit 5 times a week. Aside from all of the exercise that she does it was when she started changing her diet that she noticed the biggest improvements.
Ricky is Leeds’ number 1 strength and physique coach. He has won numerous bodybuilding titles including Mr Britain in 2012. He was also the runner up at the World bodybuilding Championship in 2012 and 2014. In 2015 he took a year out of competing in bodybuilding and tried his hand at powerlifting where he scooped 4th place in his first competition at the European Championships. Ricky trains numerous champion bodybuilder and powerlifters and will soon be the owner of Leeds Premier Personal Training Studio 1-RM Elite.
